That article made me smile - it captures the stereotypes of typical American behavior vs. English behavior! So, would Austen approve of it being made such a fuss over, and who would she side with, anyway?
Aw, thanks, Lin, for the heads up. I do have that half mil I've been wondering what to do with. I'm not sure I want to bid on this particular painting seeing as how it may or may not be the real deal. But I'll keep it in mind.
