on the bandwagon

thanks rach, for convincing me to steer clear of partially hydrogenated oil......or at least cut back on it. i have been hearing about how bad it is for us, but i wasn't motivated to change my grocery list. that is until our conversation yesterday. when i was at the store today, i couldn't bring myself to buy jif peanut butter, so i got the smart balance brand. also, i took your advice & switched from danimals to homemade smoothies (made w/ stonyfield farm organic yogurt & strawberries). i can't believe i bought organic! the kids were super excited about making their own smoothies. max can't wait til i buy more types of fruit to mix in them. he also said he wanted to put veggies in there! (he's definitely my child!)

so, what kind of snack crackers do you (or anyone else) recommend?

Go lynsee, go lynsee, raise the roof for you...who would have thought i'd convince you to go more healthy-

i like annies cheddar bunnies
-they are not completely organic (they are made with organic wheat flour) but we don't eat a lot of them...also good is the clifford bites cereal...both are a bit pricey but tasty snacks...our personal snack favorites are carrots, yogurt/smoothies, and pb & apples...happy snacking

oh-you should also get an air popper-the old school kind (like $15 at wal mart) and watch out for high fructose corn syrup!

We like all the Annie's products-cheddar bunnies and the chco. chip bunnies are even better. Annie's has mac 'n' cheese too that is good. I also like Back to Nature brand products- they are not all organic, but they don't have any ingredients that are not natural(no hydrogenated oils and no high fructose corn syrup) Typically they are right there with the other snack foods. At the Super Target they have a frozen section in the back that has a lot of healthy foods-Amy's is a good brand and Kashi. It's definitely more expensive, but so much better for you
