I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets last week. I tossed out tupperware that had lost lids, expired seasonings, all the sippy cups (yay!), and old toaster oven accessories. And as an added bonus, I discovered 4 unopened boxes of corning ware that I got as wedding gifts! I know, I know....it's pretty sad that I never opened them. When we got married, I had so many pyrex casserole dishes...I just always used those. But every time we moved, I packed up the corning ware boxes & put them in a cabinet that was never opened. When I found them last week, it was a nice little surprise. I was very excited about finally using them , cause I've been on a "cooking kick" lately. I've started making weekly menus. Bekah gave me 2 new recipes that have turned out de-lish! (I'll save that story for another post.)
After cleaning out the cabinets, I noticed that I had only 2 juice glasses. I think I used to have 6. How could 4 juice glasses just disappear? I know they weren't broken....at least not while I was in town. I've left home a few weekends while Michael stayed with the kids. He hasn't fessed up to anything.....
So anyway, I wanted to get a new set of juice glasses. I love the ones my mom has. When I called to ask her where she got them, she said I could have 6 of hers! (She has 12 & never uses them.) Wasn't that nice!
Now I want new bath towels. Maybe we should throw each other another bridal shower!

You should share new recipes on here that you like. Or email me with them! I am always up for trying new dishes.
My mom always maintained that people should get a survivor shower at about 10-15 years. We bought her a set of new calphalon pans for her 45th last year!
Try tastyplanner.com. it's new, and I don't know that there's much on it yet, but it has the tools to let you make a weekly menu and automatically puts the ingredients on your shopping list. Then you can edit the stuff you already have. Very cool.
thx for the info. that website sounds cool. i'll check it out today.
